PURPOSE: A lamp control circuit of a liquid crystal display monitor is provided to supply uniform current to a lamp all the time to improve luminance characteristic. CONSTITUTION: A lamp control circuit of a liquid crystal display monitor includes a lamp(300), the first power converter(100) for converting commercial power into DC voltage required for the lamp, and the second power converter(200) for receiving the voltage from the first power converter and converting the voltage into AC voltage to apply the AC voltage to the lamp. The lamp control circuit further includes a voltage detector(400) for detecting the output voltage level of the second power converter, and a compensation unit(500) that receives the output voltage of the first power converter and the voltage detected by the voltage detector when the output voltage level of the second power converter is lower than a predetermined output voltage level and compensates for a difference between the two output voltage levels to make the first power converter output variable voltage.
