PURPOSE: An RGB color conversion method of a motion picture CODEC is provided to reduce the quantity of calculations required for RGB color conversion and power consumption. CONSTITUTION: Encoded video frame data is received. The received current video frame data is stored, and a predetermined block of the current video frame is compared with a predetermined block of a previous video frame. When the predetermined block of the current video frame corresponds to the predetermined block of the previous video frame, RGB conversion data of the predetermined block of the previous video frame is maintained. When the predetermined block of the current video frame does not correspond to the predetermined block of the previous video frame, the predetermined block of the current video frame is RGB-converted.
