THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION AND FORMED ARTICLE FORMED THEREFROM

A thermoplastic resin composition which comprises (A) a styrene based polymer having a syndiotactic structure as a primary structure, (B) a polymer exhibiting compatibility with or good affinity for (A) component and having a polar group, (C) a thermoplastic resin and/or rubbery elastomer other than a styrene based polymer having a syndiotactic structure, (D) a component accelerating the crystallization of the styrene based polymer having a syndiotactic structure, (E) a rein forcing fiber having a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of a shape having a longer diameter and a shorter diameter and (F) an organic or inorganic filler; and an article formed therefrom. The resin composition and the article is free from the reduction of modulus of elasticity, and, combines high mechanical strength and excellent fluidity, which has been difficult to be achieved by a conventional reinforcing agent.
