The present invention provides a nucleotide sequencing method, designated SAQOM (Sequence Analysis via Quantification of Mutation). This method comprises the step of: (a) generation of variant nucleic acids using the target nucleic acid as template; and (b) sequence analysis of these variants to determine their consensus sequence, which corresponds to the target nucleotide sequence.
