<p>A fan guard (4) is constructed from continuous ribs (17A, 17A, ...) continuing from a closure plate (14) to an outer frame (15), inner ribs (17B, 17B, ...) arranged between the continuous ribs (17A, 17A, ...) and extending from the closure plate (14) to substantially the center portion in a radial direction of the fan guard, and outer ribs (17C, 17C, ...) arranged between the continuous ribs (17A, 17A, ...) and extending from substantial the center portion of the fan guard to the outer frame (15). The number of the inner ribs (17B, 17B, ...) is less that that of the outer ribs (17C, 17C, ...). This provides the fan guard (4) with sufficient strength that can prevent the fan guard from deforming when an axial load is applied to it, and holds down the increase in flow resistance of blow airflow (W) from a blower fan (3).</p> |
