The assembly system for joining two tubes (2a,2b), e.g. used to contain cosmetics, includes identical interconnecting parts (25a,25b) on each end of the tube. The first tube body (21) may contain mascara and have an applicator (23) brush, while the second tube body (23) may contain lipstick with its own applicator knob (23) and cap (24). The coupling parts include male (26a,26b) and female (27a,27b) elements that interconnect in a coaxial fashion to join the two tubes. The coupling parts include a flange (261a) on the male or female element and a corresponding groove (261b) on the other element. An Independent claim is included for a tube arrangement for cosmetic products including two interconnectable tubes containing different cosmetic products.
