The present invention refers to the accelerated lixiviation of the sulfides minerals of zinc, lead, copper and iron such as esfalerite-marmatite, galena, calcopirite and pirite respectively. This process is performed in two stages, in the first stage it is employed a promotor agent of metallic Fe which in presence of HCI generates a hydrogen gas and react with the sulfur of the calcopirite particle generating a H2S gas, at the same time the zinc, lead, copper and iron ions will react to form its respective sulfides. In the second stage, these sulfides in the presence of ferric ion will react to obtain the zinc, lead, copper and iron ions in solution and concluding satisfactorily the dissolution of the sulfides minerals in the process. A part of the sulfur from the sulfides will be obtained as a solid. In this process high temperatures are not necessary nor a pressure closed system, being more important the reaction of the hydrogen gas with the calcopirite sulfur and then with the ferr ic ion having the dissolution of zinc, lead, copper and iron in the acid solution. With an additional process it is possible to recover individually each of these elements and also as by-products cadmium, gold, silver, etc.
