The method involves gathering dimensional data regarding installation of public telephones (10) and realistic data representing activities of the telephones at a chosen frequency on a payphone management system (5). The gathered dimensional data is compared with dimensional data collected at previous sequence. The realistic data is processed as per management rules in case of change in the dimensional data. An Independent claim is also included for a data processing device.
