Pyrazole-4-carboxamides (I) are used as 15-hydroxy prostaglandin dehydrogenase inhibitors. Pyrazole-4-carboxamides of formula (I) or their salts are used as 15-hydroxy prostaglandin dehydrogenase inhibitors: R1, R2 = H, optionally T1-substituted 1-20C (un)saturated alkyl or optionally T2-substituted Q; Q = an optionally fused 4- to 7-membered (un)saturated ring optionally containing heteroatoms (N, O, S) and optionally having a (thio)carbonyl function; R3, R5 = H, A, X or optionally T2-substituted Q; X = OR6, SR6, NR6R6, CN, CF3, COR6, CSR6, COOR6, COSR6, CSOR6, CSSR6, NR6COR6, NR6CSR6, OCOR6, SCOR6, CSNR6R6, SO2R6, SO2NR6R6, NR6SO2R6, NR6C(NR6)NR6R6 or Si(R6)3; R4 = H, A, COR6, CSR6, COOR6, CONR6R6, CSNR6R6, SO2R6, SO2NR6R6, or optionally T2-substituted Q; R6 = H, optionally R'-substituted 1-20C (un)saturated alkyl or optionally R-substituted Q; R = 1-20C (un)saturated alkyl, halo or X'; R' = 1-20C (un)saturated alkyl, halo, X' or Q; X' = X without an R' substituent on R6; A = optionally T5-substituted 1-20C (un)saturated alkyl; T1 = X, halo or optionally R-substituted Q; T2 = A or R; and T5 = R' or optionally R-substituted Q. An Independent claim is also included for a hair care composition for topical application comprising at least one compound (I).
