PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably eliminate or prevent dew condensation in an apparatus in a short time and to efficiently carry out an image forming process. SOLUTION: An image information reader 10 is equipped with an image forming mechanism 12 and a dew condensation preventing mechanism 14 which is provided to the image forming mechanism 12 side by side. The dew condensation preventing mechanism 14 is equipped with a dehumidifying function part 64, a heating function part 66, and an air blowing function part 68. The air inside 19 the image forming mechanism 12 is sucked through a circulation duct 74, and the air is discharged to the inside 19 of the image forming mechanism 12 after being dehumidified and/or heated.
