MULTIPLE DISC FRICTION-TYPE CLUTCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely set comprehensive gap between a clutch piston and a pressure receiving plate without considering drop of a belleville spring even when the number of friction plates is increased in a multiple disc friction-type clutch.

SOLUTION: The multiple disc friction-type clutch has the clutch piston 10 that is engaged with a clutch outer 1 and can perform hydraulic actuation for pressing a first and second friction plate 14 and 15 group toward the pressure receiving plate 16, has an annular holding groove 21 in a pressurizing surface 10a of the clutch piston 10, and stores the belleville spring 20 for buffer capable of snappingly abutting on the first and second friction plate 14 and 15 group in the holding groove 21. An annular projection 22 for preventing separation of the belleville spring 20 from the holding groove 21 of the belleville spring 20 is formed at an axial opening edge of the holding groove 21.
