PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy by reducing power consumption during rice cooking and keeping warmth. SOLUTION: This induction heating type rice cooker comprises a body 1, an inner pot 2 detachably stored in the body 1, a lid body 3 covering the upper surface opening of the inner pot 2 and an induction heating coil 6 in the bottom part of the body 1. This rice cooker is so constituted that the inner pot 2 is formed of ceramic and a heating body 7 is embedded in the ceramic. The heating body 7 is formed by covering the outer circumference of an aluminium flat plate 8 as a high heat transmission material with a exothermic part 9 formed by thermally spraying iron as a high magnetic material.
