PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method allowing for well-balanced use of a shared resource by each system, when the shared resource is used exclusively by a plurality of host systems. SOLUTION: In a restriction method for shared resource use for restricting the use of a shared resource by a plurality of host systems, when usage requests from a plurality of host systems are in conflict, the occurrence of the sharing is stored, and shared resource usage requests, made after the shared resource in use at the conflicting use requests, is freed are received to be accumulated for a fixed time and are then processed according to the priority respectively given to the competing host systems.
