PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus equipped with a noise eliminator, wherein noise elimination of a flat part in noise of a solid-state imaging element is enabled, while maintaining local picture variance information. SOLUTION: The difference between (n+1)-th pixel from the maximum value and (m+1)-th pixel from the minimum value of the peripheral pixels of output of the solid-state imaging element 301, is output from a difference device 304. A summing and mixing ratio, in a summing and mixing device 305, of the mean value of pixels included in a part between the (n+1)-th pixel from the maximum value and the (m+1)-th pixel from the minimum value of the peripheral pixels, and a central pixel is operated corresponding to the output of the difference device 304, thereby separating a minute profile part of a signal part from noise, and enabling noise elimination with superior precision.
