PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven camera apparatus used for a mobile apparatus such as a mobile phone and having the excellent operability and the excellent protecting function and to provide the mobile phone employing the same. SOLUTION: The motor-driven camera apparatus is structured to include a camera unit 16 wherein an imaging unit 15 incorporated between a front panel 5 and a rear panel 7 of an enclosure 6 and supported by a rotary shaft can be turned from a position capable of imaging an object via a window 12 provided to the front panel to a position capable of imaging an object via a window 13 provided to the rear panel; and a motor-driving unit 18 for motor-driving the camera unit.
