PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress a peak value of an amplitude of a transmission signal for a multicarrier communication system or the like. SOLUTION: A transmission data generating section 10 generates transmission data of a digital type adopting the OFDM system from transmission data. Composite FIR filters 260-1, 260-2 extract respectively different subcarriers from the transmission data (difference data). A switching section 208 selects either output of the composite FIR filters 260-1, 260-2 according to the control of a value discrimination section 210. The value discrimination section 210 controls the switching section 208 on the basis of the quality of peak suppression transmission data outputted from a subtractor section 206 to allow the switching section 208 to select either of the outputs from the composite FIR filters 260-1, 260-2, which provides transmission data with better quality.
