PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sealants from containing bubbles when cutting a substrate at the portion of the sealants and reducing distance from the substrate edge to an effective display surface. SOLUTION: Protrusions are arranged at the positions of the sealants, and the sealants are printed and the substrate is laminated. The bubbles growing in the sealants are smashed or divided by the protrusions, which almost eliminates such a case that the sealing is broken off due to the bubbles or an unsealed portion is caused when cutting the substrate at the sealed portion. Consequently, seams are narrowed when combining liquid crystal display devices and achieving a large screen display, and also the device is solid and can maintain longevity thereof.
