PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterminating agent for ectoparasites on an animal having excellent efficacy with slight adverse effects on the animal. SOLUTION: A solution for exterminating ectoparasites on the animal comprising phthalthrin as an active ingredient is used.
