PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric cutter with a dust collection cover which can substantially completely collect dust produced in cutting of concrete, tile or the like and can achieve a significant improvement in environment for job sites and workers. SOLUTION: A rotary knife 14 and a fan 15 are attached pivotably to the rotating shaft of a disk grinder 3. A body cover part 1 for covering the rotating knife 14 and the fan 15 from the obverse and the reverse and the top thereof is fixed to the disk grinder 3. Further, an external cover part 2, which covers the rotating knife 14 exposed to the bottom of the body cover part 1 and has a dust collection mechanism and dust collection bag 40, is provided slidably against the body cover part 1. Furthermore, a shutter mechanism part 30 with a built-in shutter 31 for always closing an opening face, which varies upon sliding of a cover fixed part 18 located on the reverse of the body cover part 1 against an opening part 28 located on the reverse of the external cover part 2, is provided on the reverse of the external cover part 2.
