PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating/removing fluorine efficiently from a liquid containing a fluorine compound and a metal without increasing the pH of the liquid and lowering the fluorine concentration of the liquid containing the separated fluorine below the environmental standard value. SOLUTION: Phosphoric acids and/or a phosphorus compound is added to the fluorine compound-containing liquid treated by diffusion dialysis or electrodialysis instead of a calcium compound or together with the calcium compound, which is then made to pass through a packed column packed with particles of calcium phosphate.
