PURPOSE: A rolling roll damage detecting system is provided which minimizes ripple effect of rolling accident due to roll damage and prevents occurrence of large rolling accident by immediately sensing various damage conditions of rolling rolls in a continuous hot rolling mill. CONSTITUTION: The rolling roll damage detecting system comprises a work admission detecting part, first roll abnormality detecting part, current variation measuring part, second roll abnormality detecting part and rolling force variation measuring part, wherein the first and second roll abnormality detecting parts comprise an exclusive or gate(401) for outputting pulse signals whose on and off are repeated per sampling cycle by exclusively logical summing up sampling signals for generating clock ticks per sampling cycle of data and its own output signals; an inverter(402) for inverting output pulse of the exclusive or gate; first buffer(403) for storing input data in the on level section according to pulse signal impressed from the exclusive or gate; second buffer for storing input data in the on level section by receiving pulse signal impressed through the inverter; and a subtractor(405) for outputting deviation by subtracting the storage data of the first and second buffers, wherein the first and second roll abnormality detecting parts detect motor current of driving motors of respective rolling rolls and rolling force variation per unit time.
