PURPOSE: A tension reducer for a seat belt is provided to reduce components and manufacturing cost by changing the structure of a restraint unit. CONSTITUTION: In a tension reducer for a seat belt, a spring restraint unit is interlocked with a clutch unit, and restrains the elasticity of coil springs(130,150). The spring restraint unit includes a first gear(190) coupled to a protrusion(126) formed at a bush shaft(120), a second gear(192) engaged with the first gear and having a pin guide groove, and a bar-shaped pin(194) inserted into the pin guide groove and fixed to a lever(180).
