PURPOSE: A method for processing an exception on the conversion a WML(Wireless Markup Language) document into an XML(eXtensible Markup Language) document is provided to reduce the exception of the contents conversion by processing the unconverted exception while converting the WML document into the XML document. CONSTITUTION: The WML document is inputted(S102). It is judged that each character included in the WML document can be converted into the XML document(S104). In case that each character included in the WML document can be converted into the XML document, the WML document is converted into the XML document(S106). In the case that each character included in the WML document cannot be converted into the XML document, it is checked that the incapable character is the <do> tag(S110). In the case of the <do> tag, the <do> tag converted into the hyperlink of the XML(S112).
