RADIO COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND ANTENNA FAILURE DETECTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus and an antenna failure detecting method which can detect a failure of an antenna with a simple constitution while eliminating the need for preparing an electric field box even in a frequency division duplex system (FDD).

SOLUTION: A coupling element 110 spatially coupled with a first antenna 101 receives a high frequency signal from the antenna 101 and outputs the received signal to an external connector 105. A high frequency measuring unit connected to the external connector 105 evaluates the level of the received signal outputted from the connector 105 to thereby detect a failure of the first antenna 101.
