<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for creating and browsing a structured document which easily creates document data by a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: Table of contents data constituting a document and text data are structured as the form of a pair. When the sequence of titles is replaced in the table of contents data, the sequence of the text data therefore is replaced while being interlocked with the replace of sequence of the title.
