<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output unit in which power consumption, heat generation, noise, and the like, can be reduced under waiting state. <P>SOLUTION: The image output unit 1 outputting input image data while recording on a recording material comprises a clock circuit 14 outputting a start signal at a preset time, a circuit 15 for making a decision whether a main power supply 40 is turned on or not, a circuit 16 for switching the power supply of the clock circuit 14 to a battery 17 if the circuit 15 judges the main power supply 40 to be not turned on and otherwise for switching the power supply of the clock circuit 14 to the main power supply 40, and a main power supply start control section 50 for starting the main power supply 40 based on the start signal inputted from the clock circuit 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
