PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubrication device for a belt type continuously variable transmission having significantly enhanced cooling capability without requiring additional oil or special processing, and without causing strength degradation or weight increase. SOLUTION: The lubrication device 10 for a belt type continuously variable transmission 20 with a driving pulley 22, a driven pulley 24, and a belt 26 has an injection nozzle 52. The injection nozzle 52, which sprays oil S in such a way that it spreads out in a fan-like form, is placed inside the endless belt 26 so that the spray shape (fan-like form) of the oil spreads out toward the moving direction of the belt 26. This enlarges a substantial oil spray area, which is, a heat transfer area, and increases a heat transfer rate to enhance the cooling capability, thereby achieving a great temperature reduction effect.
