PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily mass-produce metal borate nanowire which can be applied to practical use. SOLUTION: Powder of boron is added to a powdery mixture of the oxide powder of a metal such as aluminum and magnesium with boron oxide powder, and the mixture is heated to a vaporizing temperature or above in the air or in an oxygen-containing atmosphere to produce the metal borate nanowire.
