PURPOSE: A cam type press device is provided to improve the quality of a panel product by having a swing pad for applying padding force to the front end of a workpiece panel in a normal direction. CONSTITUTION: In a cam type press device, a swing pad(131) is coupled to one side of an upper pad(111) and has a padding surface(133) to apply padding force to a round end(R) of a workpiece panel(105) in a normal direction. A return unit is installed between the side of the upper pad and the swing pad, and supplies return force to the swing pad. A pressing unit is installed at the lower part of an upper mold(101), and presses the swing pad in a normal direction to the workpiece panel when the upper mold moves down.
