PURPOSE: An antenna system for a mobile terminal is provided to improve a coupling sensitivity when extending a helical antenna, while obtaining a stable transmission and reception. CONSTITUTION: An antenna system for a mobile terminal comprises an antenna guide path(110) provided on the mobile terminal, a helical antenna(200) mounted on an upper portion of the antenna guide path and including a combining unit having a combining hole, a whip antenna(300) moving along the combining hole of the helical antenna and the antenna guide path, a stopper contact member(400) provided on the end portion of the antenna, and an elastic unit for supporting elastically an end portion of the stopper contact member. The stopper contact member contacts to the inner wall of the guide path when the whip antenna moves along the guide path and adheres closely to the inside of the combining hole of the combining unit when finishing the movement.
