PURPOSE: A power supply and a power source controlling method of a power supply are provided to correspond to a standard of every country by controlling selectively a use of a power factor correction part. CONSTITUTION: A power supply comprises a power factor correction part(16) for correcting a power factor of a commercial use alternating current(AC) source, a switching part(18) for connecting selectively one of an electrical source stabilizing part and the power factor correction part to the AC source, and a source controlling part(22) for connecting the power factor correction part with the commercial use AC source in case of the commercial use AC source being beyond a predetermined magnitude by perceiving the commercial use AC source and controlling the switching part to connect the source stabilizing part with the commercial use AC source.
