<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polymer fuel cell which can positively humidify an oxidizing agent in an upstream region of an oxidizing agent gas passage with a steam and to provide an oxidizing agent gas separator for the same. <P>SOLUTION: The solid polymer fuel cell includes an electrolyte film 11, a fuel electrode 12, an oxidizing agent electrode 15, a fuel separator 2 having a fuel passage 21 for supplying a fuel to the electrode 12, an oxidizing agent gas separator 3 having an oxidizing agent gas passage 31 formed to supply an oxidizing agent gas to the electrode 15, and a water flow plate 4 for forming a water flow passage 41. The oxidizing agent gas separator 3 has pores. At least the upstream region 91 of the separator 3 has a hydrophobic region X2 facing an oxidizing gas passage 31 and having a stronger hydrophobic property than the downstream region 93, and a hydrophilic region X1 provided at a side nearer to the passage 41 than the region X2 in a section along a thickness direction of the separator 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
