<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce energy consumption of a vapor compression type refrigerator for a water heater. <P>SOLUTION: Air heated by a heater 60 using residual hot water of a bathtub 70 is supplied to an evaporator 40. By this, from a viewpoint of the evaporator 40, a low pressure side refrigerant pressure rises from a broken line state to a solid line state as though outside air temperature has risen. Consequently, a compression ratio of a compressor 10 becomes small, an inclination of an isentropic curve becomes large, and power consumption in the compressor 10, that is, a difference between enthalpy in a suction side and enthalpy in a discharge side of the compressor 10 becomes small. Accordingly, in such an embodiment, the power consumption of the compressor 10 is reduced by effectively using waste heat of conventionally drained hot water of the bathtub 70, and efficiency (a performance factor) of the vapor compression type refrigerator 1 can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
