<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately diagnose whether a driving current is normally supplied to each injector or not, by using a diagnostic signal corresponding to an OR of whether a driving current not less than a specified value is respectively supplied to a plurality of cylinders or not. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic control device 50 generates a command signal for driving an injector IJ. A drive unit 40 supplies the driving current to the injector IJ of a corresponding cylinder based on the command signal. The drive unit 40 generates the diagnostic signal IJF corresponding to the OR of whether the driving current not less than the specified value is respectively supplied to the plurality of the cylinders or not. On the other hand, the electronic control device 50 diagnoses whether the driving current is normally supplied to the injector IJ or not based on the diagnostic signal IJF. In particular, the electronic control device 50 prohibits the above-mentioned diagnosis if it is determined that a period in which the driving currents are simultaneously supplied to the plurality of the injectors IJ exists. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
