MICROORGANISM DEFICIENT IN GENE OF ISOMALTOSE-PRODUCING ENZYME AND BELONGING TO TRUE FUNGI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a host microorganism efficiently enhancing the expression of a gene when the gene encoding the objective protein is transferred and to provide a transformant producing the objective protein with high efficiency and further a method for production by which the objective protein can be produced with high productivity.

SOLUTION: The microorganism belongs to true fungi and is deficient in a gene of a main isomaltose-producing enzyme. A gene encoding the objective protein is transferred into the microorganism to provide the transformant. The resultant transformant is cultured under conditions for expressing the transferred gene to produce the protein.
