PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insure that inspection can be performed by displaying all of display areas of a liquid crystal panel in inspecting the display characteristics of the liquid crystal panel and to provide a liquid crystal device of a low cost by surely eliminating the defective liquid crystal panel in packaging an IC (Integrated Circuit) for driving. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device 1 is formed by mounting the IC for driving on the liquid crystal panel 5. The liquid crystal panel 5 has a plurality of signal electrodes Psi formed on a transparent substrate 2a, a plurality of scanning electrodes Pso formed on a transparent substrate 2b and IC attachment regions B set at the transparent substrate 2a. The signal electrodes Psi and the scanning electrodes Pso extend to the IC attachment regions B. The IC11 for driving has bumps Bso for the scanning electrodes conducted and connected to the scanning electrodes Pso and bumps Bi for the signal electrodes conducted and connected to the signal electrodes Psi and is formed with wide spacings A between the adjacent bumps Bso for the scanning electrodes and bumps Bsi for the signal electrodes.
