PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film having excellent flatness and blocking resistance after a roll and suitable as a base film of a magnetic recording medium, especially a ferromagnetic metal thin film type magnetic recording medium for a digital video cassette tape, data storage and the like recording digital data. SOLUTION: This coating film for magnetic recording medium is a laminated film formed by laminating a coat layer A on at least one surface of the polyester film. The coat layer A consists of a binder resin A, inactive particles A and a specified surfactant A. The surfactant A has a clouding point of 20°C to 60°C and is contained in the range of 5wt.% to 35wt.% based on the weight of the coat layer A. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
