PRODUCTION OF GARLIC POWDER AND PILL

PURPOSE: A method of producing garlic powder and garlic pills by steaming garlic, roasting steamed garlic with far-infrared rays, grinding the roasted garlic and then mixing with herbal powder is provided. The manufactured garlic pills contain pharmacological action of components beneficial for human health while being removed in unpleasant odor of the garlic. CONSTITUTION: Peeled garlic is steamed for 5 to 10min at 110 to 130deg.C and dried for 3 to 7hr in a drier at 70 to 90deg.C, the procedure is repeated 2 to 5 times. The dried garlic is roasted for 3 to 5hr at 120 to 150deg.C in a loess cauldron and then ground to 80 to 150mesh to give garlic powder. The garlic pill contains 80 to 96% by weight of garlic powder, 2 to 10% by weight of Corni Fructus powder and 2 to 10% by weight of Rubi Fructus powder.
