PURPOSE: An indoor unit of a ceiling type air conditioner is provided to realize a super thin indoor unit by reducing a space between a fan motor shaft and a bottom panel. CONSTITUTION: An indoor unit of a ceiling type air conditioner includes a bottom panel(11) formed at a bottom of a case, having a suction grill(11a) in predetermined height, and a turbo fan(2) and a fan motor(3) installed inside the case. In the bottom panel, the suction grill of a part corresponding to a fan motor shaft(3a) is removed. A thin plate(20) is installed under the suction grill placed around the circumference of the removed part to clog the removed part. The total height of the case is reduced to place an end of the fan motor shaft at a position lower than an upper end of the suction grill and higher than an upper surface of the thin plate. |
