PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to remove the sustain discharge of previous subfields and form uniform wall charges within cells by micro discharging repeatedly within the cells during a reset period. CONSTITUTION: The sustain discharge of previous subfields are erased by applying a rising voltage or a falling voltage to a couple of sustain electrodes during a reset period corresponding to one or more subfields of plural subfields within one frame. A wall charge is generated simultaneously when the sustain discharge of previous subfields are erased. The falling voltage is applied a scan electrode of the sustain electrode couple and the rising voltage is applied to a sustain electrode of the sustain electrode couple. |
