PURPOSE: An exhaust noise control method of a vehicle is provided to actively control the exhaust noise even in the emanation of an adaptive filter and secure the tenacity of the system by a transfer function with a modeling error. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust noise control method of a vehicle is composed of steps for measuring and fixing a transfer function from a microphone(1) for sensing noise installed to an outlet of an exhaust pipe(13) and an engine(10) to a control speaker(6) mounted to an exhaust system(11), and minimizing the fixed transfer function of a path from the microphone to the control speaker in normal operation of an adaptive filter(2) and controlling the noise by the fixed transfer function of the path from the microphone to the control speaker in the emanation of the adaptive filter.
