PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera which reduces the processing time for distortion correction. SOLUTION: The digital camera 2 uses an imaging lens 10 having reduced optical distortion in a wide view angle mode while allowing some optical distortion in a telephoto mode, or another imaging lens having a reduced optical distortion in the telephoto mode while allowing some optical distortion in the wide view angle mode. When using the former lens, it corrects the distortion only in the telephoto mode. When using the latter lens, it corrects the distortion only at the wide view angle mode. Consequently, the imaging lens can be miniaturized and thinned and a good image can be obtained by correcting the distortion only either in the wide view angle or telephoto mode.
