摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple production method of a polymeric optical waveguide with a high productivity with a small waveguide loss, keeping high accuracy of a core shape. SOLUTION: This polymeric optical waveguide manufacturing method comprises processes of: (1) manufacturing a mold having recessed parts corresponding to the protruded parts, and an entering part and a discharging part being both end parts of the recessed part using an original plate with the protruded parts formed thereon; (2) closely sticking a base material for cladding on the mold; (3) making curable resin for core forming enter from the entering part of the mold into the recessed part of the mold; (4) separating the mold from the base material for cladding by curing the resin made entered; and (5)forming a clad layer on the base material for cladding with the core formed thereon. The mold has a cured resin layer comprising a cured layer of curable resin for mold forming and provided with the recessed part, the entering and discharging parts, and a reinforcing member for reinforcing the cured resin layer and provided with a charging port for pressure-feeding the curable resin for forming the core.
