PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure safety by turning off an anion generator when a water tank part is removed from a main body and to improve degrees of freedom of an installation position of the anion generator. SOLUTION: The humidifier has in an inside of the main body 1 the water tank part 2 for containing water, a vaporizing filter 3 for sucking and vaporizing water of the water tank part 2, a water supply part 4 for supplying water to the water tank part 2, a blower 7 for sending air to the vaporizing filter 3, the anion generator 8 for generating anion, and a control part 13 for controlling turning on and off of the blower 7, the anion generator 8 and so on, wherein the water tank part 2 is detachable from the main body 1. There is provided in the inside of the main body 1 a switch 21 operating responsively to installation and removal of the water tank part 2 with respect to the main body, and the control part 13 turns on and off the anion generator 8 responsively to on and off of the switch 12.
