PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance convenience by enabling appropriate reset of a travel route, even if there is no information on a user's history, suppressing the power consumption of a user terminal 2 in a navigation system so as to be applicable even to a portable apparatus. SOLUTION: Information such as a destination, passing spots, etc. inputted to the terminal 2 which the user uses is transmitted via a network, and an appropriate travel route is searched referring to map information etc. by a navigation server 1, and that information is transmitted to the user terminal 2 and is displayed. By making possible resetting of the travel route while a present position is displayed in the terminal 2, and lists of passing spots and destinations are displayed then so as to be selectable and among those an unarrived spot is caused to designate. The designated passing spot and passing spots in the order of arrival after that are specified as unarrived passing spots. A new travel route which passes all the unarrived passing spots without exception and reaches the destination is set by a navigation server 1, and this information is transmitted to the user terminal 2 and is displayed.
