PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system and its traffic congestion display method for providing useful information for users to determine a future travelling route. SOLUTION: A VICS receiver 3 receives traffic congestion information about traffic congestion, a memory part 14a of a traffic congestion information processing part 14 chronologically stores the received traffic congestion information, a production part 14b of the traffic congestion information processing part 14 and a traffic congestion information drawing part 15 generates traffic congestion changing information for indicating change of traffic congestion situation with time based on the stored traffic congestion information in a chronological order and a display device 17 displays the generated traffic congestion changing information.
