PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make opening and closing of a lens barrier and zooming possible with one and the same operation. SOLUTION: A rack 21 is attached through a guide 20 to a slide grip 8. When the rack 21 is moved parallel by the operation of the slide grip 8, gears 22 to 26 rotate according to the moving amount thereof. When a gear 28 integrally attached to a cam cylinder 27 covering the outer peripheral surface of a lens barrel 5 is rotated by rotation of the gear 26, the cam cylinder 27 is also rotated integrally. When the cam cylinder 27 rotates, the rotational motion is converted into the parallel movement to the optical axis direction of the lens barrel 5 by a cam groove 29 disposed at the cam cylinder 27 and the lens barrel 5 is advanced and retreated according to the rotating direction of the cam cylinder 27.
