PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera which automatically performs a camera movement compensation without using a personal computer. SOLUTION: The electronic camera is provided with the automatic camera movement compensation device which has a photographic angle detector 26 for detecting the angle of the optical axis of the camera to a horizontal axis, a camera movement compensation arithmetic circuit 27 for calculating an extent of camera movement compensation on the basis of photographic angle information outputted from the detector 26, focal length information of a photographic lens obtained by a range finding circuit included in a camera photographing unit 21, and light receiving face size information of a CCD element, and a controller 23 for correcting photographic data in accordance with the calculated extent of camera movement compensation.
