PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element capable of emitting light with various kinds of chromaticity and at high luminance by including a material having high luminescence and high electron transporting capability by itself. SOLUTION: This organic electroluminescent element comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode and at least one organic layer disposed between the electrodes. The organic layer is formed of a compound expressed by general formula (1). In general formula (1), R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are each the same or different substituted or non-substituted 6-12C aryl group(s); R<SB>3</SB>, R<SB>4</SB>, R<SB>5</SB>and R<SB>6</SB>are each the same or different hydrogen atom(s), halogen atom(s), low-grade alkyl group(s) or nitrile group(s), or R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>, and R<SB>5</SB>and R<SB>6</SB>may form a ring by being bonded with each other; and (n) is 1 to 3.
