PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a recording device capable of obtaining a result that only a piece of music is recorded to a user's liking on a disk almost without troublesome operations by the user. SOLUTION: The recording device is comprised of a track change discrimination means for discriminating a cut in a track of an audio signal, a recording means for recording the audio signal in a data recording area of a recording medium, an operation means for inputting a correction instruction, a correction instruction holding means for holding an state operated by the operation means, and a control means for editing management information so that the track can be reproduced after finishing track recording in the case that the correction instruction is held by the correction instruction holding means while recording the audio signal in the track discriminated by the track change discrimination means, and editing the management information into the state in which the above track is eliminated from the above data recording area in the case that the correction instruction is not held by the correction instruction holding means while recording the audio signal in the track.
